Traditional Siamese and Balinese Catteries in Canada are a rarity, we are one of a few ACA Traditional Balinese Catteries in western Canada.  We sometimes have kittens for sale to approved homes.  Our kittens are raised in our home.  We never cage any of our cats, they are members of our family and cherished pets.  When our kittens arrive in their new home, they are healthy, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and loved.  Our kittens are handled daily from the moment the are born.  They are kissed, snuggled and loved.

2Tone kittens are selectivly bred for the historic "Traditional" type.  These are the large, muscular cats reminicent of the original Siamese cats brought from Thialand (1900) sometimes called Thai or Applehead Siamese.  The Balinese is the long haired cousin to the Siamese.   Balinese are considered among the most intelligent and long lived of long haired cats.   Choosing only the best lines from conventional and traditional Siamese and Balinese catteries to produce truely beautiful cats.  Neither cobby nor extreme, 2Tone kitties are round and robust, resembling the Royal Siamese and Martin Faced Traditional Siamese of early 20th century America.

There are three types of Siamese - all pure bred, each are bred to a specific look/type.  These subtle variations in the breed developed over a century of selective breeding and are represented in the various breed clubs, each with their own standard and goals.  It is a matter of preference - some prefering the contemporary look, others continuing to enjoy the Traditional/Historic cats.

Kittens from 2Tone Gigi BackBeat will most resemble the historic type (1900), kittens from Nicky Summers will apear more "classic" - resembeling the Siamese and Balinese cats of 1940 - 1960.  Our new male Vespa is somewhat more "modern" (1980-2000) and will lend a touch of elegance to these lines with deep violet eyes and sleek apearance - he is gorgeous!

Traditional Siamese represent the historic breed as it was 100 years ago.  These are the long lived robust cats of our grand parent's generation.  We are committed to preserving the original characteristics of the breed.  The Traditional Siamese is an affectionate long lived cat. Often living into their teens and twenties.  There is nothing extreme about the Traditional Siamese. They are long, elegant and muscular.  The Traditional Balinese is low shedding and considered to be the most intellegent of long hair cats.

2TONE Siamese specializes in producing spectacular lilac frost point Balinese cats.  We are expressley concerned with providing cats which are long lived, and of high quality of health and charecter.  Kittens stay at 2Tone until fully weened, vaccinated, and altered (12-16 weeks) to ensure your kitten gets the best start possible!
